1939 Lagonda V12 Firewall

The 1939 Lagonda V12 is a rare and special British luxury car, every part of which has historical value. The original firewall had corroded significantly over the decades and was damaged at several points, so it required a complete re-production.

During the work process, I completely disassembled the original element, then created a template for the new panels based on exact dimensions. I recreated the missing and unsalvageable parts from age-appropriate material with manual sheet metal work, making sure to stay true to the 1939 factory design both in terms of form and structure. The surface treatment and the design of the joints were also adapted to the original technologies, so the end result not only aesthetically, but also technically fully meets the specifications of the time.

The restored firewall can now once again be a worthy part of the Lagonda V12 restoration project, helping to bring this special vehicle back to its original glory.
