This Land Rover Series III 2.25 litre Diesel is currently undergoing a complete mechanical rebuild at OTC Garage Hungary. The project includes engine assembly, electrical system repairs, drivetrain refurbishment and the careful rebuilding of major mechanical components. The Land Rover Santana 88 Especial is the Spanish version of the legendary British series, manufactured under license by Santana Motor. "88" stands for the short, 2.2-meter wheelbase, and "Especial" for versions with richer equipment, also intended for the export market. Today it is considered a rare, classic off-road vehicle highly valued by collectors.    
 
 

I worked on this unique Land Rover Defender 50th Anniversary Edition prototype in England. The special feature of the vehicle is that it was one of the development examples before series production, a prototype. The work carried out was checked and accepted by the factory's official specialist, so that every detail of the restoration and repair met the factory's specifications and quality expectations. A 4-liter Land Rover V8 engine with automatic transmission was hidden in its engine compartment. It was equipped with an external fall tube from the factory.    
 
 

I also worked on this custom-built Land Rover Defender in England, where a supercharged 605 horsepower engine from a Ford Mustang had to be installed. The drivetrain was supplemented with a Land Rover Discovery 3 transmission, and the brake system consists of unique components manufactured in America. The box has a specially designed chassis to handle the enormous power. And the factory odometer has been tuned to the new drivetrain, so the atmosphere of the original dashboard has been preserved. The real challenge was the narrow engine space, so many unique solutions had to be applied to ensure that the high-performance engine and all its accessories fit perfectly and work reliably.

This classic red 1988 Land Rover Defender 200Tdi has undergone a complete restoration, the process of which I led. The complete rebuild and overhaul of the engine was my job, paying particular attention to maintaining factory specifications and increasing reliability. The goal of the project was for the Defender to retain its original character, to really give it a new life technically.

This white Land Rover Defender 110 was made in England, where I did the complete overhaul of the 300Tdi engine. During the project, I also installed a number of unique extras, including a snorkel, a dual battery charging system with shift control electronics, a specially designed center console, larger off-road tires and a raised chassis. The goal was to create a reliable, strong and versatile Defender that combines a classic look with modern technical solutions.

This green 1997 Land Rover Defender Truck Cab has been completely restored. The aim of the project was for the car to retain its original character while being reborn both technically and aesthetically. In addition to the renovation of the 300Tdi engine, every detail was carefully inspected and restored, so that the end result is a reliable, field-ready and durable Defender.

The classic Rover 3.5 V8 is one of the most iconic engines in Land Rover history. It was used in several models, including the Series III V8, Stage One V8, early Land Rover 90 and 110, and certain versions of the Range Rover Classic. For this project, we carried out a complete rebuild of a Rover 3.5 V8 engine equipped with its original Zenith-Stromberg carburettors. The engine was completely dismantled, inspected and rebuilt, with particular attention paid to preserving its original factory appearance and technical specification.

The Land Rover 300Tdi is renowned for its reliability and longevity, but after decades of service even these legendary diesel engines eventually require a complete rebuild. A professionally restored engine brings back the original performance, reliability and durability expected from a classic Land Rover. This gallery follows the complete restoration process, from engine removal and strip-down through machining, rebuilding and final installation into the vehicle. This Land Rover V8 was custom-built for a client in the United States and represents far more than a conventional engine rebuild. The engine features an Edelbrock intake manifold and carburettor, a modernised ignition system, an air-conditioning compressor and a specially modified belt drive for the upgraded auxiliary components. Precise laser-assisted measurement was used during the timing setup. The result is a unique Land Rover V8 that retains its classic character while offering improved reliability, comfort and everyday usability.
