The Volvo B18 engine is one of the most robust and long-lasting classic engines, widely used in Volvo models of the 1960s and 1970s. Many versions were equipped with Zenith Stromberg 175CD carburetors, known for their smooth operation and reliability when properly maintained.

Over time, however, these carburetors often suffer from wear, diaphragm failure, fuel contamination and incorrect adjustments, leading to poor engine performance, unstable idle and increased fuel consumption.

During the restoration process, the carburetor is completely disassembled, cleaned and inspected. All critical components such as diaphragms, seals, needles and jets are replaced or refurbished. Special attention is given to proper calibration, ensuring correct air-fuel mixture and smooth engine operation across all conditions.
